Dedication

This site is dedicated to the most important man in my life, Dr. Paul Crombach.

Paul’s nickname, given by one of his best friends, Dr. Ben Gullo, was “Crombie.” I called Paul by that name so many times—it became part of our loving communication.

Paul and I met in January 2003. We became the closest of friends and then our friendship grew into the deepest love two people could ever share. We were soul mates. God sent Paul into my life to bless me and to complete me. And then, on December 29th of 2005, God took Paul home to be with Him. Paul battled leukemia for six short weeks and lost his valiant fight.

I learned so much from Paul about love and life. Paul had a successful dental practice in Ontario, New York for thirty years. He had developed this practice, recruited and trained the most wonderful group of women one could ever know and finally, in the last eight years before we lost him—he was fortunate to bring in his partner, Dr. Phil Gilson. Phil became like a son to Paul. Paul taught me about running a practice. He had a deep love and respect for his patients, and they felt the same in return. Paul was always a very caring and supportive clinician, while being professional and highly skilled. To say he was smart about his business is an understatement!

Of the many gifts Paul had given me, the greatest was the sharing of his friends—he had kept every friend he had ever made since grade school. His friends have stayed close to me through this tragic loss. Paul’s mother and brother have become family to me as well.

Life is about growth, learning, love and pain. If you live, you will escape none of these aspects of life. What we do with these lessons creates the person we become. I am grateful for the love Paul gave to me and for the way he changed my life.
